At the Y, we believe children discover themselves through interactions with others and having the freedom to explore. The Santa Maria YMCA Camp immerses
children in a community where making friends is natural, exploring new interests is encouraged, and discovering inner strength is guaranteed.
YMCA Camp teaches self-reliance, instills a love for nature and the outdoors, and builds character and leadership—all amidst the fun of camp mentorships
and so much more. During our camps all campers cultivate values, develop skills and nurture relationships.
At Y Camp, we offer fun for every child, regardless of age, income and background. Plan your child’s day camp fun at the Y, and experience the impact we
can make in your family’s life and community.
Day Camp is open to all children entering kindergarten through the age of 12. Campers are separated by grade level groups to ensure our programming is
developmentally appropriate and engaging. We cannot make exceptions to this, however all camper groups will interact throughout the camp program. This will ensure that your camper gets the
best camp experience possible.
The Santa Maria YMCA Day Camps give young people an opportunity to enjoy an experience that can last a lifetime!
The Y’s Internship is a program that consists of High School students working with younger youth in a camp setting teaching youth reading development and strategies. The goal of
this program is to provide youth with a chance to develop leadership, gain work experience, and helping youth better define future goals. The Y’s internship is a temporary job position
that provides a person(s) with invaluable work experience and on-the-job training in the fields of child and recreation development.
